My submission for

's contest. I hope i win >___<. lineart was done by Midnight the Cat. Enjoy.

I really tried to give some feel of bone structure under the scales (especially on the head). I hope that comes through.

my insparation came from [link] work. It's nowhere near up to the par of this artist. Especially because i got lazy toward the end there *sweat*

Edit: i'm going to keep editing the water splash under the rock until the contest deadline. I want the water to look as real as possible

Edit 9/15: fixed up the water hugely as well as the lens flare.

Wow! Amazing job giving the dragon some depth.

You've got the light source spot-on, and the blurriness of the waves capture the water motion.

Ooh, nice! I really like the muscle definition and the use of yellows and whites in the highlights. It's a little difficult to appreciate the work you put into it because of the watermark, though... ._.; The texture you put into the fins = win, though. :3
